I’m somewhat embarrassed to tell you that I should have seen this before now. I’m convinced that the Biden Administration has a defined strategy to mislead the American people by lying about things. They release a statement only later because, of an uproar, try to “Walk it back.”
The truth is hard to find. If a news media makes a false statement and it is discovered to be wrong, the media will, within a few days, print a retraction. If the original story was on the front page, the retraction was never on the front page but buried somewhere in the back of the paper. You would find it in a box called Additions and Corrections.
The Scientist listed its top retractions of 2020. The top 10 stories were all on COVID-19. Since the start of the pandemic, journals have retracted more than 200 COVID-19–related papers and counting, most of them in 2021. But such papers represent only about 5 percent of the more than 3,000 retractions indexed this year in the Retraction Watch Database. In what has become an annual tradition, they present the year’s top retraction stories.
It seems to me that getting the facts right has been sacrificed for an agenda that takes me back to the original idea for the story. According to the Washington Post Fact Checker analysis of every speech, interview, tweet, or public statement made by the President in the first 100 days of Biden’s Administration, the Post identified that Biden had made 78 false or misleading statements.
Let me be clear: Biden continues to make mistakes along with his team members. They have learned that they can say just about anything, and the mainstream media, for the most part, will support what they say without checking the accuracy. The New York Post recently published some of the most outrageous gaffes of all time. Click on the link and see how bad he has been,
The staff realized early on that Joe would make gaffs as he has done for years. When he did make them, the mainstream media didn’t call him out unless it was a “5 Pinocchio.” People would say.” That’s just Joe being Joe.” They knew that they could let him loose, and they would mop up the mess if necessary. With the mainstream media on their side, he could get away with all the gaffs because many Democrats accepted Joe’s inability to get things right. I believe that until the mainstream media starts going after Joe for his mistakes, his handlers will continue to let Joe be Joe.
Recently Joe went to Philadelphia to give a speech in it, he said. “Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans represent extremism that threatens the very foundation of our republic.” The reaction to the President’s speech by Democrats, Republicans, and independents caused the White House to clarify the remarks trying to walk back the divisive rhetoric.
The big challenge for many Americans is that they don’t know if Joe is telling them the truth or lying to them. Here is an example of a statement by the President that the average America didn’t challenge, Biden’s bogus boast of 1 million construction jobs. The President claims 1 million construction jobs would be created by the CHIPS Act, and the number in the report he cites is just 6,200. If a reporter had not researched the number, we would not have known we were being lied to.
As Americans, we want to trust what the President has to say to us. We want him to be truthful when speaking with us. Many years ago, a friend told me that every drop of water on a stone breaks it down into sand. I believe every time the President lies to the American people, our trust in the man and the office diminishes. Mr. President, if you can’t tell us the truth, go to your beach house and don’t run for reelection.
