As I listened to the reports of the shooting in the Christian school in Nashville several things haunted me from the very beginning. First, is the notion of The Trans Resistance Network, a fringe group with 3,300 followers, who view their private Twitter account, issued a statement after the Nashville shooting. “The group that posted a statement mourning the death of the Nashville transgender mass shooter had recently posted a message call other transgender people “to do literally anything to oppose trans genocide.”

In 1948, the United Nations Genocide Convention defined genocide as any of five “acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group.” These five acts were: killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group. Victims are targeted because of their real or perceived membership of a group, not randomly. While I believe that all lives matter if the numbers are correct that the trans population in America is at least 1.6 million 42 lives lost is not genocide. I believe the use of the term genocide is to try and make the problem appear greater than it truly is.

National Public Radio (NPR) in a recent editorial urges trans people to buy guns because America is dangerous for transgender Individuals. Here we have a group that advocates the purchase of guns to kill people. The president and parts of the left want to ban guns and are saying nothing about a radical group that wants transgender people to go out and buy guns to be able to kill people. They are not saying just buy one they do not talk about restrictions.

Recently people on TikTok said that perhaps the children would not be dead had the state not passed the anti-trans laws. Are they telling us that as a class of people if you do not like a bill passed by the local, state, or federal governments you can kill people to show your dissatisfaction with the law?

If we want to have more stringent background checks for the purchase of guns keep this in mind:

67% of transitioning people think seriously about committing suicide. More guns as NPR suggests in the hands of people who are seriously thinking about committing suicide may not be a good thing.

Over the last ten years, 200 trans people have been murdered let’s look at the numbers:

Transgender people of color account for 81% of known victims in 2022 and 59% were Black.

The victims have been “overwhelmingly Black, under 35 years of age, and were killed with a firearm. The headlines would lead you to believe that there is a genocide going on against trans people. The numbers tell a different story.

An estimated 1.6 million people in the U.S. age 13 and older identify as transgender, according to the Williams Institute, a think tank focused on LGBTQ issues at the University of California, Los Angeles. Based on this number .0048 percent of America’s population is transgender.

Second, is the statement from the killer that she needed to be, ”Seen”. I thought about this statement a great deal. Is she saying because she is transgender people have to notice her and the only way in her mind, she could figure out how to be seen was to go to the Christian school and kill as many people as possible? According to the Nashville chief of police, she was under care for an emotional disorder and hid weapons at their parents’ home, police said.

She had 7 guns that she legally purchased from 5 stores, and she has three with her at the time she attacked the school. She hid the guns at her parents’ house.

How often do you think about being seen? Do you feel who you are and what you have to say is so important that you are willing to take the lives of children and adults to make your point?

The left is trying to change the direction and place the blame on the guns. This is a very difficult problem for the left. As was said above NPR is suggesting that transgender people arm themselves and buy guns for protection. As in the case of Nashville to punish people for their beliefs, how long before their guns will be turned on the elected officials who pass laws they don’t like?

Let me finish with a very disturbing point. The trans protesters said that there were 7 victims in the school shooting. They were saying that the killer was a victim as much as the teachers and the children she killed. I find that logic repulsive it’s like saying all the people killed by Hitler were victims and so was Hitler.

Some of the people in the Trans Gender movement do not want to have any accountability for their actions no matter how violent or deadly they are.
